Carolina Veterans Resource Center

Welcome to the Carolina Veterans Resource Center!

The Carolina Veterans Resource Center (CVRC) provides a welcoming environment to study, hang out and meet other military-connected students. Not only do we welcome veterans, but dependents, spouses, and ROTC students as well.

The Carolina Veterans Resource Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. CVRC staff offer virtual and in-person appointments. To request an appointment, send an email to cvrc@unc.edu or call 919-962-9640. For the most current information, please follow us on Twitter at @UNC_CVRC.

The Center provides a multitude of resources and amenities, which include a spacious lounge area, kitchen, and study rooms. We also offer academic and career workshops, front desk peer advising, and many social and wellness events. You can see more in our latest newsletter, found here!

We have a signature on-boarding program called Boot Print to Heel Print that assists transitioning veterans from admissions through the end of their first year. We support both undergraduate, graduate and professional student veterans in this program.

We also offer Green Zone training. This training is for faculty, staff and students who are interested in learning more about the student veteran experience and how they can best support and assist this unique community.

Veterans Benefits

UNC-Chapel Hill is approved by the Veterans Administration as a training facility for students receiving military education benefits. All students, including new first years, transfer students, and graduate students, should visit the University Registrar's Veterans Affairs site as well as our links page for more information about the VA application process and VA enrollment certification.

For any questions about VA benefits at UNC or the certification process, please reach out to our VA Certifying Official at gibill@unc.edu.
