Veteran & Military Student and Alumni Organizations

The following campus organizations may be of particular interest to veterans and other military connected students:

Carolina Student Veterans of America (CSVA): The CSVA is UNC’s chapter of the Student Veterans of America. The CSVA is a student-run organization that seeks to provide veteran and military connected students with the resources, opportunities, and support to help they need for a successful transition to the university, and to thrive in their Carolina careers.

The CSVA welcomes all undergraduate, graduate and professional school student veterans and their families. We work to provide opportunities for student veterans to meet and socialize with other Carolina students, get involved in campus life, and make the most of their Chapel Hill experience while giving back to the community. The CSVA, in conjunction with the Carolina Veterans Resource Center and the Dean of Students, also serves as an advocate for student veteran awareness and wellbeing across the University. For more information visit the CSVA Heel Life page. You can follow the CSVA @UNC_SVA.

Carolina Veterans Alumni Network (CVAN): Aimed at connecting and supporting the University’s military-affiliated communities, the Carolina Veterans Alumni Network (CVAN) welcomes servicemembers, veterans, dependents, and military supporters. Our mission is to foster a community that embodies resilience, service, and exemplary leadership, and to connect students and alumni through mentorship, educational support, and advocacy.

The UNC Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Alumni Association is a non-profit organization that serves current and former members by facilitating fellowship and information sharing, advocating for the NROTC program’s objectives in collaboration with leadership and other stakeholders, and preserving our shared history and tradition in the University and the U.S. Naval Service.

Kenan-Flagler Military Veterans Club (KFVA): The Military Veterans Club is an organization for military and government service veterans and those who support them.  We exist to provide outreach and advice to service members who are MBA applicants as well as transition and professional assistance, networking opportunities, and camaraderie for all veteran and currently serving students at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
